Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Virginia is hiring a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to deliver outstanding service and maintain a safe, clean environment. You will assist customers, bag groceries, guide product placement, and support store operations with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include bagging, helping customers load bags, shelf maintenance, price checks, and maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the store. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout and ensure items are bagged properly.
• Strive to bag at least five items and protect contents.
• Follow best practices for bagging with reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of购物 cart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather baskets and return to designated areas.
• Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs as needed.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
• Follow laws, guidelines, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts in a calm, cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
