Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to assist customers at checkout, bag groceries, and keep shelves tidy. You will help load bags into vehicles, inform customers of specials, and maintain store cleanliness. Basic safety and food safety practices apply; previous retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Retail Experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout and assist customers.
• Strive to bag at least five items in each bag without damaging contents.
• Follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic and paper bags.
• Assist in removing customer merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and pricing checks as needed.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions.
• Return merchandise to store shelves when appropriate.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and in the parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise as needed.
• Understand store layout and locate products for customers.
