Job summary

H-E-B in Texas is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to help bag groceries and assist customers as they transport purchases from the store to their vehicles. The role includes unloading baskets and assisting customers, stocking bag areas, and maintaining cleanliness.

You will also support locating merchandise, returning items to proper locations, and keeping check stands stocked. The position requires physical endurance and a customer-focused approach to ensure fast, friendly service

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must work with customers and stay attentive to their needs.
• Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency standards.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and handle up to 100 lbs as needed.
• Completion of Company Orientation and Basics of Safety training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading merchandise from baskets and help customers transport purchases to their vehicles.
• Package groceries and help customers transport/unload groceries to their vehicles.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Gather baskets, pick up trash, and stock bag areas.
• Return products to proper locations and stock check stand supplies.
• Distribute Buddy bucks to registers and replace anti-fatigue mats.
• Relocate carts/basket or perform power-washing as needed for department setup.
• Perform red basket fill up/retrieval.
• Clean, mop, dust, sweep, and vacuum to maintain store cleanliness and safety.
