Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a store associate to support the grocery department at 293 US Highway 206. You will stock shelves, build displays, rotate merchandise, and greet customers in a friendly, professional manner.

No prior experience is required. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Training will be provided, and you will work with a team focused on serving customers and maintaining a clean, organized department to meet health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the Grocery department well stocked, organized and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales.
• Build displays to drive incremental sales.
• Stocks and rotates merchandise to ensure freshness.
• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Applies proper stocking techniques to ensure products are properly located on shelves, ensures merchandise is in saleable condition with correct prices and signs.
• May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries through operation of power jack or hand jack (if properly trained –training provided).
• Keeps product that cannot be sold? removes damaged or discontinued items according to company policy.
• Maintains productivity standards, work methods and standards and shrink control.
