Job summary

Mother’s Market is seeking a Grocery/Refrigeration Clerk in Los Angeles, CA. You will ensure grocery and refrigerated sections are stocked, rotated, and easy to navigate while delivering friendly customer service and maintaining product quality throughout the store.

The position involves stocking, labeling, price checks, and assistance with deliveries and inquiries. Benefits include health coverage and in-store discounts, with hourly pay ranging from $18.42 to $20.00.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful customer service including special order support
• Stock and rotate grocery and refrigerated products with accuracy and care
• Ensure products are fresh, labeled correctly, and shelves are clean and organized
• Place "Temporarily Unavailable" tags when items are out of stock
• Handle product damages, credits, and returns according to company policy
• Check product pricing and ensure shelf labels match correctly
• Maintain and refill product displays, samples, and seasonal features
• Receive deliveries and verify shipment accuracy against invoices/packing lists
• Place and track product orders from other stores, suppliers, or distributors
• Keep aisles safe and free of hazards by removing ladders, boxes, and obstructions
• Continuously monitor expiration dates and rotate inventory accordingly
• Assist customers with product locations and general inquiries
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and merchandising standards in assigned areas
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grocery or Store Manager
