ShopRite of East Haven is seeking a Receiver to ensure accurate receiving of deliveries and maintain a clean, safe warehouse. You will greet customers, handle damaged goods, verify invoices, and protect company assets while working in a fast-paced grocery environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for shifts, and teamwork, with a competitive hourly wage and benefits. Training and opportunity for growth are provided within a family-oriented retailer.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Stand/walk for shift duration.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Work with products and cleaning agents without allergy issues.
• Tolerate dust and varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly way.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Maintain punctual attendance and comply with schedules.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grocery storage area for cleanliness and readiness for next shift.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products per policy, prioritizing perishable items.
• Verify invoices for cost, retail, and quantity accuracy.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote current promotions to customers.
• Follow safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Rotate stock and ensure proper handling of products.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and sanitize surfaces.
• Adhere to QA and sanitation standards and wear gloves when handling food.
