Qualifications

• Experience in grocery, foodservice, hospitality, retail, or food & beverage industries preferred.
• Demonstrated vendor relationship management and ability to make purchasing/assortment recommendations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, pricing, and margin data.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day purchasing activities for assigned grocery categories across Eataly’s retail and restaurant operations, ensuring product availability, assortment, pricing and inventory levels.
• Owns and supports vendor relationships, contacting pricing, availability, lead times, delivery and issue resolution.
• Assists with price negotiations, cost changes and margins improvements.
• Assists with promotional negotiations, discounts, and seasonal opportunities.
• Analyzes sales, inventory, and margin data to identify trends and opportunities within categories.
• Develops purchasing recommendations based on sales trends, history, seasonality and needs.
• Supports category assortment strategy including product selection and seasonal planning.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align purchasing with promotions and demand.
