Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Ability to educate team on product knowledge and convey enthusiasm.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge and ability to use computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and ordering systems.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to deliver information clearly to teammates, customers, and vendors.
• Ability to follow directions and procedures; time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Completes Order Writer training.
• Replenishes products through proper buying procedures.
• Orders perishable and/or non-perishable products and maintains back stock.
• Monitors open PO reports for purchases and credits promptly.
• Controls spoilage/shrink; participates in inventory and cycle counting.
• Completes spoilage and other inventory management processes and related worksheets.
• Ensures orders are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns.
• Oversees customer special order procedure.
• Analyzes and controls product transfers, waste, and spoilage.
• Supports leadership in inventories and meeting purchasing targets.
• Provides courteous, friendly service and effective suggestive selling.
• Maintains clean, sanitary working/shopping environment and safe practices.
