Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Coordinator to lead day-to-day operations of a department, overseeing ordering, receiving, stocking and display to maximize profits while upholding food safety standards. You will supervise a department team, ensure training, and implement pricing and signage in alignment with store goals.

The role requires strong leadership, communication and the ability to mentor hourly staff, with a focus on safe, efficient operations and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Experience in natural foods is a plus.
• Serv Safe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, staff recruitment and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career development and succession planning within the department.
• Support disciplinary actions and promotion decisions.
• Meet or exceed department sales, labor and margin goals.
• Ensure food safety compliance and accurate pricing.
• Provide excellent customer service and product consultation.
• Train and supervise department team in daily tasks and standards.
