Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a store associate to support the Grocery department in a busy retail environment. The role focuses on stocking, displaying and ensuring merchandise is easy for customers to reach and purchase.

Training is provided for receiving and safety procedures, with emphasis on cleanliness and policy adherence. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (completed or in progress); prior experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the Grocery department stocked, organized and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales.
• Smiles and greets customers and resolves questions and concerns in a polite, professional manner.
• Applies stocking techniques to ensure correct placement and signage of merchandise.
• Assists with receiving, unloading, checking-in, and storing deliveries (training provided).
• Handles damaged items according to policy and maintains department cleanliness and safety (OSHA compliance).
• Maintains productivity and shrink control and cooperates with staff to ensure smooth department operation.
