Job summary

Albertsons Companies seeks a Grocery Department Manager in Sunnyvale, TX to lead daily grocery operations, drive sales and profitability, and maintain in-stock conditions and pricing accuracy. You will supervise staffing, training, and coaching to create a strong team and a best-in-class shopping experience for customers.

In this fast-paced role, you will manage merchandising, planograms, promotions, inventory, and backroom organization while ensuring food safety and compliance standards.

Main r esponsibilities :

• Oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department with a focus on customer service, sales, and department readiness
• Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
• Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are clean, full, front ‑ faced, and merchandised to company standards
• Execute planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization
• Monitor shrink and implement procedures to reduce waste and loss
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards
• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry products and work in coolers and freezers
