Albertsons Companies in Duncanville, TX is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to support the Grocery Department’s operations, merchandising, and customer service initiatives. You will collaborate with the Grocery Manager to drive inventory accuracy, pricing, and associate development, ensuring a safe and welcoming shopping environment.

• Assist in directing daily Grocery Department operations to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Support department execution of sales, profit, shrink, and labor objectives.
• Ensure department conditions meet company standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain in-stock conditions throughout the department.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotation of merchandise.
• Review department performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Execute merchandising plans, displays, promotional programs, and seasonal initiatives.
• Ensure product rotation procedures are followed to maintain freshness and minimize shrink.
• Maintain proper pricing, signage, and shelf tags.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor out-of-stock conditions and coordinate replenishment activities.
• Assist in supervising, training, coaching, and developing Grocery Department associates.
• Provide daily direction to associates regarding priorities, productivity, and customer service expectations.
• Support onboarding and training of new associates.
• Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Assist with scheduling and labor deployment to meet business needs.
• Deliver and promote exceptional customer service standards.
• Resolve customer concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure associates actively engage customers and create a positive shopping experience.
• Build customer loyalty through consistent service and product availability.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and food safety standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment for associates and customers.
• Follow all established security, sanitation, and loss prevention practices.

Position Summary

The Assistant Grocery Manager assists in the overall operation of the Grocery Department to ensure exceptional customer service, department profitability, food safety compliance, and achievement of sales and labor goals. This position partners with the Grocery Manager to oversee inventory management, merchandising standards, associate development, and daily operational execution while maintaining a safe and welcoming shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations

• Assist in directing daily Grocery Department operations to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Support department execution of sales, profit, shrink, and labor objectives.
• Ensure department conditions meet company standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety.
