Job summary

ADUSA Transportation, the transportation arm of Ahold Delhaize USA, seeks a dispatcher to manage driver work activities and direct the flow of goods to our stores efficiently and legally. You will reduce delivery costs through smart routing and effective load planning.

You will act as a primary contact for customers, coordinate with multiple units, and ensure accuracy, safety, and productivity across the distribution network.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet production standards set by the company.
• Able to use personal computer for data entry and research purposes.
• Highly motivated self-starter and with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Call stores to notify delivery schedule changes, delays, early arrivals, or conflicts with accurate scheduling of deliveries.
• Dispatch available grocery/perishables loads and maintain delivery logs for all tickets and loads.
• Assist drivers when needed.
• Coordinate with warehousing and merchandisers to balance workloads.
• Meet all corresponding dispatch/start-up times and complete route setup duties.
• Ensure compliance with Delhaize America standards in safety and productivity.
