Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager for the Grocery Fulfillment Center in San Diego, CA. You will lead a team of hourly associates, ensure safety, quality, attendance, and on-time delivery, and collaborate with Safety, Ops, Loss Prevention, and HR to meet customer expectations.

The role requires 2+ years of people management and a bachelor's degree (or equivalent), with the ability to work weekends or overnight shifts in a multi-temperature environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and HR to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Work in environments with variable temperatures and weather, including outside loading areas and refrigerated locations
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts)
