Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Maryland is seeking an Area Manager for the Grocery Fulfillment Center to lead a team of hourly staff, drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance, and ensure customer orders are delivered on time and to the right location.

You will mentor the team, coordinate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and HR to develop plans meeting business objectives, and manage multi-temperature environments across weekend/overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon experience.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Push/pull wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds during shifts.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of hourly employees and mentor them during shifts.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and HR to meet business objectives.
• Support and motivate the team to maintain high performance.
