Vallarta Supermarkets in Duarte, CA is hiring a Full-Time Cashier to deliver fast, friendly service at the checkout. You will handle the cash register, balance tills, bag groceries, and help maintain a clean front-end area in a busy, festive grocery environment.

You’ll be trained through Vallarta’s cashier program, must be legally allowed to work in the U.S., and be able to communicate in English. Join our team and contribute to exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Friendly, courteous personality with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to count and perform simple math accurately.
• Ability to identify and differentiate produce items and codes.
• Must complete Vallarta Supermarkets Cashier Training Program.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must speak/read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Smile and greet customers while delivering extraordinary service.
• Operate cash register systems accurately and follow money handling procedures.
• Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts.
• Bag groceries and keep the front end clean and organized.
• Maintain knowledge of produce codes and assist as needed.
• Follow store policies for WIC, EBT, alcohol, and tobacco.
