Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring for a part-time Store Operations role at 17005 SE Sunnyside Rd, Happy Valley, OR. You will greet customers, handle checkouts, and work with the POS system to process payments and promotions.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system, and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons) and checkout procedures per policy.
• Adhere to cash shortage/overage limits and loss-control policies.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety guidelines.
• Report unsafe conditions and assist with repairs as needed.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with products throughout the store.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines, working cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage conflicts calmly and with integrity.
• Respond to directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support for interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
