Cosentino's Apple Market is seeking a Customer Service Clerk for the Apple Market #70 location in Kansas City, MO. This part-time front-end role focuses on delivering exceptional service while operating the cash register and supporting daily store tasks.

The ideal candidate will handle cash and transactions accurately, greet customers, and maintain a clean, organized workspace, following Cosentino's standards for red-carpet service.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of cash handling procedures.
• Working knowledge of cash register operation.
• General knowledge of customer service principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in a retail grocery setting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Obtain a liquor license and or food handlers permit as required by the county within 14 days.
• Accurately process customer transactions using the cash register and POS.
• Cash handling, including counting money, making change, and balancing cash at shift end.
• Process payments via cash, check, gift cards, credit/debit cards, coupons, or other options.
• Follow procedures for government assistance payments (SNAP, WIC).
• Handle returns, exchanges, and price adjustments courteously and efficiently.
• Address customer complaints and escalate to supervisor as needed.
• Assist cashiers to ensure a friendly, convenient customer experience.
