ShopRite of Cromwell is seeking a Grocery Manager to direct all functions of the Grocery Department, lead associates, and drive sales and customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong leadership, safety awareness, teamwork, and commitment to high-quality service. Candidates must meet physical demands and be able to train staff and engage customers daily.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations.
• Ability to stand and walk during the shift.
• Basic computer operations.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with various products without allergic impact.
• Ability to work in different temperatures and tolerate dust.
• Ability to climb a ladder to access items.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Ability to lead and engage associates and work with others.
• Commitment to regular attendance and adherence to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Grocery Department and its associates.
• Lead department goals for sales, profit, customer experience, and engagement.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance in daily operations.
• Maintain proper pricing, stocking, and display standards.
• Oversee staffing and training to support department needs.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues.
• Uphold company service priorities and policies.
