Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking an Assistant Department Manager for the Grocery Department in Buena Vista, CO. You will help organize work, staff the department, train associates and ensure prompt service to customers.

Responsibilities include ordering with CAO, pricing and merchandising, maintaining signage and shelf standards, and upholding store policies. This role requires flexible hours, weekend work and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Willing to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights as needed.
• Able to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage department operations with staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Department Manager in organizing work, staffing, training and directing associates.
• Provide prompt, courteous service and handle customer comments and requests professionally.
• Use CAO to manage ordering and balance on hand when supervisor is absent.
• Price and display merchandise, ensure signage, rotation, freshness and space allocation.
• Promote company initiatives and supervise associates in merchandising and customer service.
