Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Las Vegas is seeking a Grocery Department Manager to assist the Grocery Manager in directing daily operations, training staff and maintaining service standards.

You will handle ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and merchandising, open/close the store and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies while resolving customer concerns and coordinating front-end activities.

Qualifications

• Extensive retail background with prior management experience.
• Understanding of Company practices, policies and procedures.
• Strong written and oral communication, leadership and people development skills.
• Experience supervising employees and knowledge of employment laws.
• Ability to handle customer, vendor relations with composure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and supervising the Grocery Department operations.
• Order, receive, store, price, stock and merchandise as needed.
• Back-up cashier duties and suggestive selling.
• Maintain cash handling accuracy and report tapes and money.
• Prepare night stockers' to-do lists and manage price changes.
• Open and close the store.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety and security policies.
• Assist Store Director when managers are absent.
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
