Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards high school diploma or GED.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related field desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all Grocery department operations and may assume total store operations in management’s absence.
• Promotes excellent customer relations and resolves customer concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Manages inventory levels and reviews orders to meet customer demand; maintains backroom organization.
• Schedules associates, provides coaching and feedback, evaluates work, and plans workloads for shifts.
• Assists with onboarding grocery sales associates and participates in annual performance reviews.
• Develops and implements merchandising plans and creates attractive displays with cross-merchandising.
• Maintains backroom receiving area security and 5S housekeeping; ensures sanitation and OSHA compliance.
• Controls expenses including payroll and minimizes damages and shrink.
