Responsibilities

• Keeps the Grocery department well stocked, organized and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales.
• Build displays to drive incremental sales.
• Stocks and rotates merchandise to ensure freshness.
• Smiles and greets customers, answers questions and helps resolve concerns promptly.
• Applies proper stocking techniques to ensure products are properly located with correct prices.
• Assists with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down and storing deliveries when trained.
• Handles damaged or discontinued items per policy and removes unsellable stock.
• Maintains sanitation in the department and ensures health/OSHA compliance.
• Completes cleaning schedules and maintains work areas, counters and display cases.
• Disposes of trash properly and follows safety guidelines.
• Maintains productivity standards and shrink control; complies with security regulations.
• Puts out stock at a rate per company standards; may assist in other departments.
