Responsibilities

• Keeps the Grocery department well stocked, organized and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales.
• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly.
• Applies proper stocking techniques to ensure products are properly located on shelves and accurately priced.
• May assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking deliveries with trained equipment.
• Handles damaged or discontinued items according to policy and removes unsellable stock.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the department and follows health and OSHA guidelines.
• Picks up stock and maintains productivity standards and shrink control.
• Cooperates with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth department operation.
• Uses PPE as required and adheres to safety rules.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
