Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an welcoming environment for customers and answer questions about products sold within the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of dairy specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products they have ordered.
• Recommend items to ensure customers get what they want.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers; log temperatures.
• Notify management of safety risks and unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs.
• Notify management of accidents.
• Report safety risks, theft, or fraud.
• Work cooperatively in high paced environments.
• Manage conflicts constructively.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
