Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger in Peoria, AZ. The role focuses on bagging groceries at checkout, aiding customers, and maintaining store presentation on-site.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strive for at least five items per bag and ensure contents are not damaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Assist in removing customer’s merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car when possible.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts.
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and in the parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand the store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety by complying with procedures and notifying management of unsafe conditions.
