Job summary

Kroger in Glendale, CA is hiring a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to provide outstanding customer service, bag groceries at checkout, and keep aisles safe and clean. You will follow store policies, assist customers with loading bags, perform basic shelf conditioning, inform customers of specials, and help maintain order from the front end to the parking lot.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger bags groceries at check out for customers
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout
• Offer to help customers with loading bags into their car
• Perform basic shelf conditioning
• Inform customers of grocery specials
• Return merchandise to store shelves
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas
• Clean spills, collect trash inside store and parking lot
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
• Understand the store's layout and locate products
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
• Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation
