Job summary

Kroger in Gardnerville, NV is seeking a courteous Clerk/Grocery Bagger to create an outstanding customer experience at check out. You will bag groceries, assist customers with loading, and maintain a safe, clean store environment.

You will follow company values and help keep shelves organized and prices checked as needed in a fast-paced setting. Ideal candidates have retail experience and a willingness to provide friendly, reliable service to diverse customers in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strive to bag at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return to designated areas.
• Clean spills and collect trash inside store and in parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by following safety procedures and reporting hazards.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed to management.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions about products.
