Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers
• Aim for at least five items per bag while preventing damage
• Follow best bagging practices for reusable, plastic, and paper bags
• Assist in removing merchandise from carts for checkout
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car
• Perform basic shelf conditioning
• Inform customers of grocery specials
• Return merchandise to store shelves
• Gather and return bascarts to designated areas
• Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
• Know store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions or issues to management
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed
• Create a welcoming environment and answer questions about products
• Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
• Work cooperatively in high-paced environments and manage conflict calmly
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek help when needed
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
