Job summary

Broulim’s ACE Hardware in Ammon, ID is looking for a Courtesy Clerk to provide friendly, reliable service by bagging groceries, assisting customers, and keeping the store neat and welcoming. You will help with cart retrieval, stocking, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

The role supports front-end operations with an emphasis on customer interaction, organization, and teamwork. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and push/pull heavy carts.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to assist others.
• Consistent and reliable attendance of your scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly smile and offer assistance as needed.
• Bag groceries for customers, ensuring items are packed carefully and efficiently.
• Assist customers by taking their groceries out to their car.
• Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and return them to the store.
• Assist customers with locating products and answering inquiries about store services.
• Maintain cleanliness in the store, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and emptying trash bins and cleaning bathrooms.
• Assist with stocking shelves and replenishing inventory as needed.
• Assist in maintaining order and safety in the store, including monitoring for spills and hazards.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to customer service and safety.
• Perform any other duties as designated by your department manager.
