Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to complete the cashier training program
• Ability to memorize produce and sale items
• Effective communication and reading skills
• Must be 18 years or older

Essential Job Functions:

1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently; understand POS system and handle various tenders according to company policy.
2. Rotate all merchandise according to code dating policies and ensure product quality and freshness.
3. Promote trust and respect among team members.
4. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and assisting them.
5. Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries and suggestions.
6. Greet, engage, and assist customers.
7. Inform customers of specials.
8. Order, label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
9. Report discrepancies in product ordering, shipping, and pricing.
10. Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
11. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (e.g., alcohol, tobacco, fireworks).
12. Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
13. Comply with food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
14. Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
15. Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
16. Report accidents involving customers or employees.
17. Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
18. Physical demands include standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and other physical activities.
19. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
20. Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
21. Act with honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
22. Follow directions and seek help when needed.
23. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
