Job summary

ShopRite of Chester is looking for a Grocery Clerk to deliver a great customer experience by pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise in the Grocery Department. You will maintain a neat, clean, visually appealing area and perform tasks efficiently and safely per company policy.

The role requires English proficiency, basic math, the ability to stand for long shifts, and the physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Reliable attendance and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak English and basic math are required.
• Able to stand/walk for a full shift and lift up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way and work well with others.
• Follow schedules, attendance policies, and maintain safety in the department.
• Maintain sanitation/QA standards and operate department equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Keep shelves stocked and faced; manage price changes and labels.
• Observe safety regulations when operating equipment and handle products safely.
• Unload and stock merchandise, rotate stock, and assist the manager as needed.
• Follow ShopRite service priorities and work cooperatively with the team.
