Job summary

ShopRite of Shrewsbury in New Jersey is seeking a Grocery Clerk to price, stock, and rotate merchandise in the Grocery Department while delivering a great customer experience. Responsibilities include maintaining a neat, clean department and assisting customers with every need in a safe, efficient manner.

The role requires standing for long shifts, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, basic math, and effective communication in English.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Able to stand/walk for an entire shift.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs. on occasion.
• Able to work with food products and manage hygiene.
• Able to work with others in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Keep shelves and displays stocked and faced at all times.
• Check prices and be knowledgeable about locations of items.
