Job Summary

Job Title: Grocery Clerk II 18+

Reports To: Center Store Manager

Responsible for ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, achieving department goals, and contributing to store sales and profitability by managing stock levels, inventory, and guest service in the Grocery Department.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure products are within date, rotated, and properly displayed according to planogram.
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and responding to guest needs.
• Assist with unloading products and organizing stock room.
• Maintain proper presentation of products on shelves and in cases.
• Observe sales floor conditions and take corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure correct pricing.
• Collaborate with store leadership and team members to meet standards and exceed guest expectations.
• Assist guests in locating items and provide product suggestions.
• Address and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Contribute to cleanliness and organization of the department.
• Meet quality standards, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm.
• Maintain regular, timely attendance and communicate absences appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Requirements include:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of safety policies and proper lifting techniques.
• Ability to operate equipment such as power jack, walk-behind lift, WAV, baler, and compactor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to stand for long periods, work in coolers, and move around the store.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally and perform repetitive tasks.
• Visual and sensory abilities to monitor the store and operate equipment.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position with hours that may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
