Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math.
• Cashier training completion.
• Memorize produce items and sale items.
• Effective communication and reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently; operate the Point of Sale system and handle tenders including cash, card, SNAP EBT, WIC and coupons.
• Rotate merchandise per dating policies and check product quality to ensure freshness; review sell by dates and take action.
• Greet, engage, and assist customers; answer questions regarding products sold.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and stock inventory; order, label, and stock merchandise.
• Follow food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures; adhere to loss prevention guidelines and safety procedures.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment; manage conflicts calmly and honestly.
