Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane; handle tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, loyalty offers, coupons and checkout procedures.
• Rotate merchandise according to code dating policies and check product quality to ensure freshness; review sell by dates and take action.
• Promote trust and respect among team members.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions regarding products sold.
• Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions; make recommendations.
• Greet, engage and assist customers; inform them of grocery specials.
