Job summary

El Super is seeking a Grocery Clerk - #53 Mesa- AZ to join our Store Operations Team. Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, you will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers in a fast-paced Mesa store.

The position involves lifting and stocking displays, rotating stock, and maintaining tidy self-serve areas. This role requires weekend and night hours, basic PC/Outlook skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and short correspondence.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers and colleagues.
• Apply common sense to carry out simple instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, and occasionally up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases, clean shelves, and keep the self-serve displays stocked, rotated, and tidy. Must work a variety of hours including nights and weekends, and perform heavy lifting, bending, and stooping for long periods of time. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store and includes physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory demands.
