Job summary

El Super, part of Chedraui USA, is hiring a Grocery Clerk for our Ontario, California store. You will provide excellent customer service, stock and rotate displays, clean cases and shelves, and assist shoppers during nights and weekends.

Starting wage is $16.90 per hour. You should be able to lift up to 60 pounds, read pricing codes and shelf tags, and work with a friendly team in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Able to present information clearly to customers and staff.
• Able to follow written or oral instructions.

Required Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information one‑on‑one and in small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic PC and Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.
