Rivers Co-op Markets in Stillwater, MN is hiring a Grocery Clerk to help create a positive shopping experience by assisting customers, stocking and merchandising products, receiving deliveries, and upholding quality and safety standards.

The position is unionized, with variable shifts typically between 7am and 6pm, and requires weekend and evening availability. Join our team to learn transferable retail skills in a community-focused, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Position Summary:

Grocery Clerks report to the Grocery Manager. This is a union position.

Location:

River Market: 221 Main Street North, Stillwater, MN 55082

Schedule:

Variable hours with typical shifts between the hours of 7am and 6pm. Flexible availability is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills


• Able to perform basic arithmetic including counting, addition, and subtraction


• Able to repetitively lift and carry 25 lbs, and occasionally 50 lbs


• Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation


• Able to remain on feet for long periods of time


• Able to spend time working in refrigerated spaces


• Availability to work including weekends and evenings

Must be physically able to occasionally grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, and turn as needed.

Constant (67-100%): Walking, standing, lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds floor to waist, talking, hearing, correctable vision including near acuity and depth perception

Frequent (34-66%): Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, lifting/reaching waist to shoulder, lifting/reaching above the shoulder
