Rivers Co-op Markets in Stillwater, MN is seeking Grocery Buyers to help ensure product availability and create a great customer experience. You will work closely with department leadership to stock, price, and present products while following food safety rules.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, placing orders, receiving deliveries, processing invoices, and maintaining displays with accurate signs. This is a union, full-time position at River Market location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior retail customer service experience.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Able to multi-task with an attention to detail and accuracy.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word.

Position Summary:

Grocery Buyers make sure customers have a great experience by keeping products available, offering timely, friendly, and caring service. Buyers work closely with department leadership, utilizing data, to ensure products are well-stocked, visually appealing, and follow food and safety rules.

Duties include helping customers, ordering products, restocking shelves, receiving deliveries, processing invoices, making products and displays presentable, ensuring correct labels and signs, and maintaining health and safety standard s.

Grocery Buyers reports to the Center Store Manager. This is a union position.

Location:

River Market: 221 Main Street North, Stillwater, MN 55082

Schedule:

35 to 40 hours per week. Current shifts available may vary and can include day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours to meet department needs. Flexibility required to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior retail customer service experience
• Must be able to work in fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
• Able to multi-task with an attention to detail, accuracy
• Perform repeated bending, standing and reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in basic arithmetic including counting, addition and subtraction
• Computer proficiency in: MS Office-Outlook, Excel, Word

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with ordering, stocking and receiving
