Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Customer service skills

  • Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, subtraction)

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Assist customers by discovering and recommending products, ensuring they get what they need.
  2. Inform customers of specials and product details.
  3. Check product quality and freshness, review "sell by" dates.
  4. Provide ordered grocery products to customers.
  5. Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
  6. Report discrepancies to management.
  7. Stay updated on advertisements and promotions.
  8. Follow all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
  9. Gain product knowledge to assist and advise customers.
  10. Create a welcoming environment for customers.
  11. Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions and accidents.
  12. Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
  13. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, manage conflicts professionally.
  14. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  15. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
  16. Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  17. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
