Responsibilities include:
- Informing customers of food specials and recommending grocery items to meet their needs.
- Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing "sell by" dates, and taking appropriate actions.
- Providing customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventory management of department merchandise.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Staying updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperature logs.
- Gaining product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
- Creating a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and appreciated.
- Following safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and practicing preventive maintenance.
- Reporting accidents and maintaining safety standards.
- Working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
- Following directions and seeking help when needed.
- Supporting and assisting vulnerable populations, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
