Key responsibilities include:
- Informing customers of specials and recommending products to meet their needs.
- Checking product quality, reviewing 'sell by' dates, and taking appropriate action.
- Providing customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventorying merchandise.
- Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Staying current with ads and promotions.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperatures and logs.
- Gaining product knowledge to assist and suggest to customers.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Reinforcing safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
- Managing conflicts calmly and professionally.
- Supporting and assisting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
