Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Customer service skills
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, subtraction)

Essential Job Functions:
- Help customers discover new items and inquire about products.
- Inform customers of specials and recommend grocery items.
- Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions.
- Provide customers with ordered grocery products.
- Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
- Report discrepancies to the manager.
- Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions.
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep logs.
- Know products sold and respond to customer questions with suggestions.
- Create a welcoming environment by answering questions and making customers feel valued.
- Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
- Report customer or employee accidents.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, stressful environment.
- Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
- Act with honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
