Responsibilities include:

  • Informing customers about food specials and recommending grocery items to meet their needs.
  • Checking product quality, reviewing "sell by" dates, and taking appropriate action.
  • Providing customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
  • Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
  • Reporting discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the manager.
  • Staying current with ads and promotions.
  • Adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining proper temperatures with logs.
  • Gaining and maintaining product knowledge to assist and suggest to customers.
  • Creating a welcoming environment for customers, making them feel valued and appreciated.
  • Reinforcing safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
  • Practicing preventive maintenance and notifying management of repairs needed.
  • Working cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and managing conflicts professionally.
  • Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Following directions and seeking help when needed.
  • Supporting and assisting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
