Responsibilities:
  • Inform customers about food specials and recommend grocery items.
  • Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and ensure freshness.
  • Provide customers with ordered grocery products.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  • Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming ads and promotions.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, logging temperatures regularly.
  • Gain knowledge of products and assist customers with questions and suggestions.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report repairs.
  • Notify management of accidents involving customers or employees.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  • Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
