Join Our Team as a Grocery Clerk at Fareway Stores, Inc.

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and outgoing individual to join our grocery department. As a Grocery Clerk, you will be essential in stocking shelves, assisting customers, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The role requires teamwork, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service
• Clean and sanitize the store daily
• Operate the POS system and handle cashier duties
• Unload products from trucks and stock shelves
• Price and display products appropriately
• Sack groceries and offer carry-out service
• Maintain accurate inventory counts
• Assist customers throughout their shopping experience
• Potentially perform E-Commerce duties, such as order picking and delivery to customer vehicles
• Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years old
• Availability to work Saturdays and some evenings
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Previous grocery or related experience is a plus but not required

Physical Demands

• Stand for up to 8+ hours per day
• Repetitive lifting, reaching, grasping, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting
• Frequently lift 0-20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
