Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a dedicated team member in Virginia to provide quality customer service in the Center Store department. You will uphold standards, assist customers, and help maximize sales while minimizing shrink by following the standard practice manual.

You will wear the Food Lion uniform, complete CBT trainings, and perform duties to ensure safety and compliance. The role emphasizes accurate stocking and friendly service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Stock shelves and ensure correct shelf tag placement.
• Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag.
• Place only saleable merchandise on shelves.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Follow Food Lion policies and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines.
• Report accidents per procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge when on duty.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
