Job summary

Food Lion in Sanford, NC is seeking a Store Associate to provide quality customer service in the Center Store (Grocery) department. You will help maintain shelves, follow safety guidelines, and assist customers with a fast, friendly shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
• Courteous and helpful to other associates
• Clean shelves and shelf tag moldings with damp cloth, as needed, when stocking
• Maintain shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag
• Place only saleable merchandise on the shelves
• Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions as required
• Report accidents in accordance with Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty
