Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking a Part-time Customer Service Associate to handle checkout transactions, assist customers, and bag groceries in a fast-paced store environment across its banners in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.

You will operate cash register, process payments, and maintain accuracy and efficiency while delivering friendly customer service and supporting store operations.

Qualifications

• Basic cash register operation
• Awareness of tender policies (checks, cash, cards)
• Strong basic math and counting accuracy
• Ability to assist customers with questions and locate items
• Willingness to learn store tech systems and processes
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate checkout totals and proper tender.
• Greet customers and assist with locating items.
• Bag groceries, ensure item integrity and receipt accuracy.
• Promote enrollment in loyalty programs where applicable.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary checkout area.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws for restricted items when applicable.
